Not JUST another session… A WHOLE YEAR🥹

This winter session wrapped up a whole year at Homegrown! Our Summer Session beginning in May will be the start of year 2!🫶🏼

We are incredibly proud of what this little space has offered the community. Thank you all for being here and joining us in homeschooling our children!❤️

Looking forward to more growth and FUN (mixed with a little bit of chaos🤪) in year 2!

HELLO SPRING! ☀️🐦‍⬛🌸

We took our learning outside this week and made bird feeders to celebrate springtime and to enjoy the beautiful weather!

These are super easy to make at home; Just cover a TP or paper towel roll with peanut butter and roll in birdseed! Tie a string through and voila! Hang outside and watch the birds come to eat a yummy treat!

Homegrown is HUGE on mixed age learning. Although we break out into groups based on ability during our Hybrid program Rhythm days, we are still all in a collective space, learning together AND from one another.

We love giving our older ones the opportunity to share ideas, things they are working on, or reading the book at story time to the younger crew. This builds strong leadership skills, public speaking confidence, the ability to utilize comprehension skills, and many more skillsets!

Our Pod days are also an incredible opportunity to allow our older crew to lead a short, yet intentional lesson for the rest of the kids.

Talk about child led peer to peer learning 👏🏼

One of our older children designed a lesson about gravity, friction, and kinetic energy and taught it at our pod meet up this week! His activity was fantastic and fully engaged the other kids in the learning! Thank you to his mom, Jenna, for stepping in to be the assistant😂
